Abha Narain Lambah

Abha Narain Lambah is a conservation architect with a master’s degree in architectural conservation from the School of Planning & Architecture, New Delhi. She has been awarded the Sanskriti Award, Eisenhower Fellowship, the Attingham Trust Fellowship and Charles Wallace Fellowship, wherein she undertook intensive training in conservation techniques. She has authored various books on architecture and has been a consultant to ICCROM, UNITAR, World Monuments Fund, Global Heritage Fund and Archaeological Survey of India. Abha is a member of the jury for selecting candidates for the Sharada Dwivedi Scholarships for Research on Mumbai’s Heritage and Urban Renewal, instituted by ORF Mumbai in February 2015.

Abhishek Sharma

Abhishek Sharma holds a graduation degree in Electrical Engineering from SCET,Surat, and a post-graduation in Sound Recording and TV Engineering from FTII, Pune. After completing his post-graduation, he has worked as a free-lance sound designer in many short films, documentaries, and PSAs. At ORF Mumbai, he is primarily involved with the audio-visual department that makes short films and documentaries – both as standalone projects as well as ones that accompany several ORF’s publications. He is also interested in utilising his skills in different departments of the social sector, having keen interest in renewable energy.

Ameya Pimpalkhare

Ameya graduated as a Mechanical Engineer from Maharashtra Institute of Technology, University of Pune, in 2011. He worked as a Graduate Engineer Trainee at Kirloskar Oil Engines Ltd., where he looked after special projects at the Large Engines Plant. He completed his Masters in Sustainable Energy Engineering from the University of Nottingham, UK, in 2013. His master’s dissertation was a case study on Residential Photovoltaic Integration for Nottingham City Council Houses. member of the Western Railway-ORF joint working group to study the implementation of the concept of Cyclic Timetable for WR’s suburban services. His key interests are in Renewable Energy, Sustainability and Energy Efficiency.

Dhaval D. Desai

Dhaval D. Desai started his career in Mumbai as a journalist, spending 13 years with both print and electronic media. He worked with The Daily and The Indian Express before switching over to television news, working in senior editorial positions in Zee News and Sahara Samay. He quit active journalism in 2006 as the Chief of Bureau of Sahara Samay Mumbai for a two–year stint with Hanmer & World Bank consortium handling communications for a global consultant appointed by the Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai to study and recommend ways to improve the city’s water distribution. At ORF Mumbai, he works as Senior Fellow and Programme Coordinator, contributing to research in the areas of housing, sanitation, public transportation. He also oversees the rollout of the many diverse activities and events of ORF in Mumbai. He is involved with outreach and media relations and also serves as the admin head for the Mumbai Chapter.

Deepesh Reddy

A medical doctor from South India and a public health management graduate from Yale, Dr. Deepesh brings insights from varied health scenarios starting his public health work in rural districts with SHARE India and WHO, humanitarian relief work in Africa and Dantewada region in Central India with Medicines Sans Frontiers and in his latest technical assistance role for urban health issues in Mumbai. Well-travelled across India and abroad, Dr. Deepesh is interested in the intersection of health, development, technology and entrepreneurship. He also serves as a public health advisor for multiple organisations including a voluntary organization, DMF India, that he started to reach out to the country’s unmet health needs.

Leena Chandran Wadia

Dr. Leena received her Ph.D in physics from IISc Bangalore. Her post-doctoral work was at ETH Zurich, Switzerland. She has been a researcher at several places in India and abroad including NCST Mumbai (now CDAC), EPFL and CERN in Switzerland. More recently she has served as Senior VP and CTO at Netcore Solutions Pvt. Ltd., a start-up company in the space of Mobile Value-Added Services. She left Netcore to pursue her passion – the use of ICT to bring about societal change. At ORF she is doing research and advocacy in the areas of Education, Public Health and Sustainable Agriculture.

Sumedh Kulkarni

After completing his M.B.B.S from Maharashtra University of Health Sciences, Dr.Sumedh started working as a full-time researcher-filmmaker. He combines his expertise in medicine and film-making to work in the field of Health Education and Communication. He has also worked on translations of books in Public Health. In the field of non-fiction, he has made several documentaries and Public Service Announcements for various organisations on various issues. He has worked on various awareness campaigns. In fiction, he has made several short films, written plays, songs and Hindi-Urdu poetry. He heads ORF’s filmmaking division in Mumbai and has produced documentaries that accompany various ORF’s publications and also made short films and radio jingles for public education and awareness for the Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai and for the Mumbai Police.
